Progress Reports: A Family and School Partnership
Dear Families,
We are committed to partnering with you to support your child’s academic growth and personal development. Beginning this week, you will receive a progress report every two weeks through ParentSquare. This report helps celebrate successes, recognize growth, and address challenges early—before small challenges become bigger ones.
We encourage you to review the report with your child and offer encouragement or support as needed. When students know school and home are working together, it makes a powerful difference.
Along with academics, we are focusing on character traits that help students succeed in school and in life. Each month, we will highlight a schoolwide trait.
This month’s focus is Perseverance—continuing to try, even when learning feels hard. We are encouraging students to keep working, even when the task is challenging or the outcome is not immediate.
When reviewing the progress report, you might talk with your child about:
- Their current grades and what they are proud of
- A time this term when they persevered through a difficult assignment or class
- Where continued effort could lead to improvement over the next two weeks
Your voice matters. Parents and caregivers have the greatest influence on their child, and your encouragement helps build confidence and resilience.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
Sincerely,
Park Middle School
